Northwest Independent Baseball League
College Wood Bat Teams 2011

August 12, 2009....

Northwest Independent Baseball League will host it's annual 2011 Summer Collegiate Baseball League which operates teams throughout the Portland Oregon and Vancouver Washington area. NWIBL seeks to provide a venue for college players who wish to develop their skills to play baseball in an environment of increased competition. All Northwest Independent Baseball League athletes are unpaid in order to maintain their NCAA eligibility. Each team is operated in a similar manner to a professional minor league team, providing players an opportunity to play under the same conditions using wooden bats, minor league specification baseballs, experiencing road trips and playing day and night games before fans in stadiums.

The NWIBL is a wood bat league in the tradition of such outstanding American collegiate circuits as the Cape Cod League, the New England Collegiate League, the Coastal Plains League, the Northwoods League and in the nearby Pacific Northwest, the Pacific International League and the newly formed, West Coast Collegiate League.

So if you live in the Portland/Salem/Vancouver area and want to stay close to home but still continue playing an outstanding summer program get your glove and come on out...Player fees are $20 or less per game.
